The Shot Jackson Commemorative model was Jackson Steel Guitar’s first model, after David, Harry and Dawn Jackson made a return to the pedal steel guitar world.ย It has a unique Dual Pulling Headsย mechanism, which was designed and patented by David Jackson. This pulling system lowers on the key head end. The keys act as lower string pullers and are tuned with the nylon tuners on the key head end of the guitar. The keys actually rock while playing!
The mechanism raises on the tailplate end (like most pedal steels), and is tuned with the nylon tuners on the tailplate end.
Why Dual Pulling Heads? To enable us to reduce the diameter of the string pullers.
Why? Sound!
This guitar also has The EDGE design on the E9 string pullers, further reducing the amount of material coming in contact with the string, for even MORE sustain!
Wonderful tone.
Pedal action is very easy and smooth.
It stays in tune and best of all it rings like a bell.
Great sustain.
