Bio
Growing up just an hour from the birthplace of Buddy Emmons, Hoosier multi-instrumentalist Jonah Leatherman was raised in a family of engineers and musicians, and he found the pedal steel to be the natural connection between the two worlds.
Like many players before him, he began on a Sho-Bud Maverick before ultimately settling into his beloved 1967 Sho-Bud Fingertip.
Throughout his career, Leatherman has opened for artists including David Allan Coe, The Marshall Tucker Band, Night Ranger, and Blacktop Mojo. He performs regularly with local and regional acts across the Midwest and has recording experience in both Midwest and Nashville studios.
When he is not at a gig, you can find him restoring vintage amplifiers and teaching private music lessons at Sweetwater Sound in Fort Wayne, IN.
