Lloyd Green’s pedal steel journey began in Mobile, Alabama, as a seven-year-old student of the Oahu lap steel company. Fast forward to more than 30,000 recordings, 116 No. 1 hits, and over 100 Top 10s — a man and his Sho-Bud pedal steel guitar shaping the sound of a generation.
For over five decades, Green helped define the Nashville sound, lending his lyrical touch, impeccable tone and inventive phrasing to classics by Tammy Wynette, George Jones, Charley Pride, Paul McCartney and numerous others.
