Nickie Thompson

Hailing from Cataula, Georgia, “Nashville” Nickie Thompson was deeply influenced by the country records her grandparents loved and played throughout her childhood. Early exposure shaped a lifelong connection to the sounds of country music, especially records from the early 1940s through the late 1970s.

A songwriter, guitarist, and pedal steel guitarist, Nickie writes and plays with a deep respect for traditional country music and its roots. Tom Brumley, Buddy Emmons, and Buddy Charleton are her greatest inspirations. She is committed to learning, preserving, and carrying the instrument forward into the next generation.

I’m very proud to own a 1973 Sho-Bud Pro III, chosen for its reputation as one of the greatest instruments in the tradition.
